Myles B. Astor, Exec. Editor, Sr. Equipment Reviewer
I believe an audio system must first and foremost, sound musical, not mechanical. The system should in those oh-so-rare rare, but precious moments, transcend the mechanical and recreate the illusion of the real event. At the same time, this musicality shouldn't result from gross colorations or distortions, such as that displayed by bad single-ended amplifier designs.
Mike Malinowski, Sr. Equipment Reviewer
Mike Malinowski joins AVShowrooms as a senior equipment reviewer. Mike has been an audio and music lover since the womb. He is a leading reviewer for 6moons specializing in cost no object equipment and will add AVShowrooms to his prestigious reviewing positions. Mike's listening room is indeed one the leading listening rooms in the world. He designed his home around the 20x30x10 foot room and every aspect of the design from the dedicated Equi=tech power system to the wall material to the ASC TubeTraps was implemented to provide a noise free acoustically-neutral environment for sound. His current reference loudspeaker, the Wilson Alexandria II is the centerpiece of the room. The sound is like a front row concert seat.
